| Oven
Excellent temperature uniformity is provided by continuous air movement within the chamber. Air is drawn over the long-life mineral insulated metal sheathed heating elements and recirculated in the chamber by a side mounted fan. The oven is fitted with a side hinged door that provides access to the full width of the chamber when open. The oven chamber walls and door are insulated with low thermal mass encased fiber insulation, providing maximum thermal efficiency. All inner chamber surfaces are covered with polished stainless steel which resists chemical attack and provides for convenient cleaning. A rear wall chamber ventilation and air exhaust vent allows fumes to be efficiently with drawn from the chamber. Variable adjustment of the vent is conveniently provided on the front panel. A high temperature silicone compound door gasket provides a tight seal between chamber and door. The oven is provided with two pair of adjustable shelf runners and two non-tilt bright nickel plated heavy gauge wire shelves. The oven allows shelf adjustment at five different heights. The stylish outer case is fabricated from Zinc coated mild steel sheet with stoved epoxy powder paint finish. A Chromel/Alumel (Type K) thermocouple is utilized to provide the oven control reference. All controls are front panel mounted on the right side of the oven. Side mounted control panel eliminates damage from accidental spills. The temperature controller is the Carbolite Modle 200 digital controller. This custom on/off temperature controller was developed for Carbolite by Eurotherm and is technically similar to the Eurotherm Model 2116 except for the larger digital display. A bright green digital LED will display either the setpoint or process temperature. The controller push buttons and digital display are mounted behind but integrally incorprated in the design of an attractive wipe clean polyester membrane. Temperature may be displayed in degrees C or F. Power to the heating elements is controlled by a thyristor-based solid state relay. The relay works in the fast cycle zero voltage switching mode to ensure precise power control.
