For compacting 4inch dia. Marshall specimens Bituminous mixture. Mounted on compaction pedestal conforming with ASTM Designation: D 1599. The lifter for the spring loaded Mold holder Assembly has a detent position which allows esay insertion and removal of the Compaction Mold Assembly. One revolution of the reset crank on the Programming Counter starts the set- and-forget programmed number of blows automatic shutoff. The carrier of the upper chain sprocket follows the descent of the installed hammer assemble, thereby maintaining a consistent 18inch height-of-drop throughout compaction-calibratable with its screw adjustable handle socket. Motor is 1/3 hp, 115v/60c, request quotation for other power requirements. Large components are case aluminum all steel parts painted or plated.
