| 110CH6S Automatic Compacter - Compaction Hammer (Simplified)
The Hammer has no moving parts attached to the sliding weight, thus tremendously improving durability and accuracy of drops. The simplified release system requires such small force that the heavy, cumbersome surcharge weight has been eliminated ( there by closely duplicating the original manual equipment's geometry). After mix is placed in secured mold, preheated compaction hammer is easily installed by placing its 5 7/8inch dia foot on specimen, straddling the chain with the drop weight's rigid lifting fingers, engaging the hammer head in the forked column, and hooking the adjacent spring. The moving chain repeatedly lifts the 22.5 lb. sliding weight and the release provides 18inch drop ( screw adjustable for accuracy Fits Cat.
