| 110CH4S Automatic Compacter- Compaction Hammer (Simplified)
This NEW hammer has no moving parts attached to the sliding weight, thus tremendously improving durability, reliability and accuracy of drops. The simplified release system requires such small force that the heavy, cumberson surcharge weight has been eliminated (there by closely duplicating the original manual equipment's geometry). After mix is placed in secured mold, preheated compaction hammer is easily installed by placing its 3 7/8 inch dia. foot on specimen, straddling the chain with the drop weight's rigid lifting fingers, engaging the hammer head in the forked column, and hooking the adjacent spring. The moving chain repeatedly lifts the 10 lb. sliding weight and the release provides 18 inch drop (screw adjustable for accuracy) Fits Cat. No. 110C4S Mechanical Compaction Assembly and Cat. No. 110C4 Mechanical Compaction Assembly can be modified with Cat. No. 110CHK. Normally, more than one hammer is required. Approx. Ship. Wt. 30 lb.
