| 760BH4 Breaking Head
Used to test for the resistance to plastic flow of bituminous mixtures (ASTM Designation D1599). A closely fitted 4 inch long bronze bushing slides on a 1inch dia. hardened, ground and chrome plated steel post providing bind-free guiding necessary for consistent results. This large post is tapered and rounded to ease the assembly of the upper jaw. All other steel parts are cadmium plated. Has a 6 inch dia. base and flat top for use with CAT. No. 760 or 765 Automatic Tester & Recorder, For use with other apparatus, specify spherical load button if contact is flat. Approx. Ship Wt. 15 lb.
